Increasingly, I’m being asked this question a few times. What is it?

It’s a browser plugin that allows web applications to be developed with features that characterize a rich internet application: animation, vector graphics and audio-video playback. In short, it’s Microsoft’s killer app for Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, Adobe Shockwave, Java FX, and Apple QuickTime. And like all MS apps it integrates with Visio Studio, explorer, etc. ….And probably only works on the MS platform.

Now a couple of years ago I heard MS were coming out with this product and it was going to be called Sparkle…
