Reading this article in Fast Company magazine, made me think a bit about recent conversations with some IT folks.
I’ve noticed in the past couple of years that the planet PHP population has been breeding in the cubicles. A few weeks ago I asked a question on the social network Linkedin on web hosting applications and almost every response was on Open Source response, no mention of Microsoft products at all.
There’s also the Microsoft make wrong conversations that I’ve observed with IT administrators. IBM used to have this problem and Lotus Notes still does.
The cool tech brands seem to be Google, Apple, Sugar CRM, Salesforce, maybe because there's hope in the brands, rather than substance.
I think it’s the classic 800 pound gorilla taking all the hits…..But I’d rather have this to a bunch a monkeys running lose in IT.
